ok well point is the motor is shot I can get a motor out of a 6G, what I was needing to know is what motors came in the 6G and if there is a 2.4 sohc is it the same and will it hook right up.

if you want a different engine to replace the 4g64, then get a 4g63t. 4g63ts came in 6g vr4s, 1g and 2g eclipse/talon/few lasers. the motor will be a direct bolt in, alls you will have to worry about is a new fuel pump and the transmission. the 2g 5spd will fit in our cars and bolt up to any 1g/2g/6gvr4 4g63t

or u could just get another 4g64 from a 7g

no it did not. the 4g63nt came in it though. it would fit but would be even less powerful than the 4g64 by ~10hp and 15ftlbs

Ok well the engine that I bought is a 2.0 out of a 93 modle. It only had 63,000 miles on it. I hope it will last till I get the 2.4 4g64 totally rebilt.
What I need to know is there going to be a problem when installing the 2.0
and is there any mods I can do to it in the mean time..

is the 2.0 DOHC? if so its most likely the 4g63 as i think thats the only 2.0L DOHC engine that came in the galants. you may as well just keep this engine and ditch the 4g64. replace the valves, cams, and cam gears and turbo the sucker https://www.thegalantcenter.org/style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif

its still 4g63, but the sohc version. It was more popular on he european market
