well i brought my car into the shop today. after about 2 hours the guy calls me to tell me that ive got a bashed in a/c compressor and oil pan. its like i ran over a bowling ball apparently. the damage would cost 1900 to fix, and im not sure its worth it https://www.thegalantcenter.org/style_emoticons/default/sad.gif https://www.thegalantcenter.org/style_emoticons/default/sad.gif https://www.thegalantcenter.org/style_emoticons/default/sad.gif

Well dude your in luck. For the price u would pay to fix all of that why not buy my engine? i will give it to you with the AC compressor if u need it.

Way cheaper than that 1900 bux u will pay to fix all that other junk.
Holla if u interested I'm sure we can make a deal. I got 3 galants and many many parts.

How much for that A/C compressor alone? Also is it working condition and is it a 4 or 3 mount system? I'm not sure what I have but I believe it's a 4-mount system ('95 S)

Oh yes, and WRT to the thread starter...for $1900 I'd say you'd be better off investing in a new G. I got mine for $2300 with 130K miles on it from a dealer...go figure https://www.thegalantcenter.org/style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif

Why is it so expensive to fix those two items? Especially the oil pan. Don't you just have to unbolt it and bolt the new one in place? What am I missing?

its so expensive because i cant do it myself.....i have almost no automotive skills. thats how much the place its at is charging, and if anyone in vegas knows anyone who could do it cheaper tell me. i think that im going to keep the car and not get another one though. It sucks alot to be without a car.

ok i turned out only having to fix the oil pan...its still 500 but thats much better than 1900. the REAL reason that it was that much is that they were marking up the price of the a/c compressor to about double what it should be. i still need to know a shop in vegas that can fix the a/c compresssor please pm me or just respond.
