Anyone seen any #168 colored bulbs anywhere?

I'm wanting a colored 168 bulb for my license bulb. I can find colored 194's everywhere but im not sure if I can use those even tho they got the same base. anyone know? thanks

You can use 194's in place of the 168's with little or no problems. About the only difference is the wattage and light output. If they are used in some really tight fitting applications they can overheat and melt the lens of the lamp but I've really only seen that happen in interior applications. I doubt you will have much trouble with them in the license lamp. They might be a little brighter, though with a colored bulb that might be a good thing. :wink:
