wheel/offset question

Will 235/45/17 be ok offset wise. (5x114.3) The website wheelmax.com lists the width as 7"?? so I figure the 235 would be alright. Isn't 7 to small for 235 wouldn't it need 7.5? Or should I just stick to 225/45/17 w/ 7" width? Thanks

actually, 225 might even be too wide for a 7" wide tire. discount tire told me (thats not saying much...but) that 215 is the max width for 7". i seem to remember doing research and seeing that they were right. 225 is only for 7.5". my friend has 8" wide wheels, and he has 225, so i dont know about the 8"s.
