Post you're 8th gen galant topout speed here.

Mine is somewhere over 120. Perhaps it was 130 since it was, from what it looked like, 10 miles or so over 120. I got video of it too if anyone want's me to post it. This was achieved in a well maintained 2001 Galant v6 es.

the US V6 is electonically limited to 128mph (fuel cut)... it seems the i4's do not have this limiter.

I've been as high as about 135 on I-95 south, but I dont have a fuel cut-off or revlimiter either..

Going at the speed mentioned above, I didn't feel a fuel cut off or anything.

stick with 128 because if you have not piggybacked your computer you will not get above 128 in your car

do you have an i4? if you have a V6 and have gone over 128mph at WOT w/o hitting fuel cut, then you weren't really going over 128mph. i have verified the fuel cut numerous times on road trips. apperently the i4 does not have this fuel cut in their ECU.

YO!! What's up with that... I have an inline 4 and have felt the fuel cut off at about 115, not that I make it habit to go over a hundred...

It's the principal of the matter!

I got an I4 and i'v been over 120 without fuel cut. Although I didnt go much over 120 because it sounded like my car was gonna blow up.

Does anyone know if it possible to swap ECUs with a 3g eclipse gt/gts? Supposedly those dont have fuel cutoff.

Uhh I am willing to bet that Chip did indeed think first though he assumed incorrectly, and it's impossible for you to hear him speak as you are separated from him by a good couple hundred miles

my car's fuel cutoff is at 120; it won't let me go faster than that.

like i said... there are verified reports of the 8G i4's going over 128mph (paced) but for some reason the 8G v6's hit a programmed fuel cut accelerating into 128mph. i have verified this by running side by side w/ another V6 approaching 128MP (our speedos only go to 120mph); we both lost power at almost exactly the same time around 128mph. the car feels like it almost shuts down to idle/coast and then revives itself once you have slowed to around 115mph.

i don't have experience w/ 7G's so that might b a whole different ball game.

225 Km/h in a 2000 JDM Galant V6-24... equals around 140 Mph, this type is not electronically limited.
