well, all i can say is,.. DON'T !!! coz i got my tranny wrecked after my brother did that last year,... high rebuilt cost, rare second-hand tranny...

the "safest" you can get after doing this burnout on a matic G is "whining" torque converter, and that's bad already, since you'll have,... say, about 10000 kms (max) before a rebuild...

I CAME IN 2ND AT A BURNOUT COMPETITION HERE IN VEGAS AND ALL I DID WAS GET IN THE WATER BOX AND PULL THE E-BRAKE UP AND PUT IT IN 1ST GEAR AND JUST PUMP THE GAS A LITTLE AND YOU'LL GET A GOOD BURN OUT I WENT FOR 1MINUTE AND 52 SECONDS THE ONLY REASON I LOST IS CAUSE SOME FUCKER IN A ESCORT WENT TILL HIS TIRES POPPED

Neutral drops are NOT good for any car. Don't do them.

As a manual driver, burning out is so much easier. As an automatic, the easiest way is to have a powerful, specifically very torquey car with shit tires up front. Buy tires from like ebay or something for around 60 bucks, if that

Put it into drive, brake torque it, spin em for only like half a second before yanking up the ebrake. Then burnout to your heart's content https://www.thegalantcenter.org/style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif

Doing a 'Brake Torque' isn't good either.

so doing the ebrake burnout thing is not bad for your car?

it will all be "bad" for your car. Some methods are just less stressful on various components. Like brake torquing vs. Neutral drops. :wink:

you'll be safe doing a burnout or two, the only thing that won't survive is your tires.

do they really take a lot of tread? and does it need a lot of room, does it move around?

depending on how long your burnout is.
If you burn them for a solid 15-20 secs at about 30 mph or so you are going to lose a significant chunk of tread
Smoke=losing tread quickly.

But it's still bad ass.

yeah, put some bleach down, you won't loose tread as fast and smoke will be white. me and my friend put motor oil down and put the rear wheels of his bmw on it and did a burn out. result: we spun tires for a full minute, which is easy to do on a 5spd 325is, but there was no or very very little smoke. and the tires didn't screech, just sounded like slipping. it wasn't very satisfying, but we didn't loose any tread. i had to keep pouring oil on the ground though https://www.thegalantcenter.org/style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif

not wise to use something flamable to lubricate for a burnout

i was just gonna say. There's a video somewhere of a guy on a motorcycle doing a burnout on motor oil and it was ignited by the heat of the tires. Not goodness.
