Galant Side Panels

I started de-badging my car today and as I was doing it I was looking at the side panels of the door. The panel that runs along the door that has galant on it looks like it is held on by 2m adheisive but I wasn't sure and before I go ripping it off I was wondering if anyone knew if that is the only thing that holds the side panels on?

do u really wanna take those off? i think they make the car a lil nicer, and a lil less plain along the sides

I believe there are a couple of holes under there.... if your're talking about the door molding. The molding is in a groove, it's not going to look right unless you fill in the groove and repaint.
