is the anti-theft system really a decoy??

i changed my radio a couple of days ago and it just popped out.. nothing happened with the anti-theft or anything. is that thing a decoy or was mine turned off already??

the anti theft wont allow you to use the stock HU without a security code.

the anti theft system doesnt actually secure the head unit in place. it can be disconnected, but after a certain time period (like 2 min? 30secs? something.) it cannot be reactivated without the code found on the two red little papers..
