quick head gasket question...

Do you need to replace the head gasket EVERY time you take off the valve cover???

I replaced mine about 2 months ago, but recently I took of the valve cover to check on my valve springs...do I need a new head gasket again?

u dont replace the head gasket, you replace the valve cover gasket. and yes it is recomended. i did not though. i have 65k no my car when i did it, and when i put it back on i put a slight bit of gasket sealer on the edge of the valve cover and i have no leaks at all...

but, i would advise that you do so. its only like $15-20
