Hi,
I'm looking for replacement headlight lamps for my 6g, because the ones I have now are just too weak. (Sorry Mitsubishi https://www.thegalantcenter.org/style_emoticons/default/sad.gif)

I'm not yet sure what I want, hyper whites or blue xenon (look al likes?).

I found this sight: http://www.eurodezigns.com ('http://www.eurodezigns.com')
Are these any good? (They sell Xenon ones)

And does someone know where I can order Hyperwhites for my 6g?

Any other suggestions are also welcome.

And what is a HID kit?

Anyone?

I just want brighter and 'cooler looking' head lights.
But a HID kit is just a wee bit too expensive for me.

Edit:
I just surfed the internet for about an hour and saw many bulbs for sale.
Now which brand is the best and which wattage should I go for. (I don't want to order new bulbs in 4 months)

H.I.D stands for High Intensity Discharge, those are the kind of headlights u see in expensive Mercedes-Benz and BMW's. A conversion kit would cost around $400 - $800 U.S dollars, should be cheaper in Europe since most of our kits come from Europe or Japan https://www.thegalantcenter.org/style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif

If u dont wanna spend that much, get a Silvania Silverstar. Those are about the brightest and whitest bulb u can get other than the real H.I.D.

Hella manufactures complete universal HID conversion kits. The downside is that you have to custom fit them to your car by yourself....
Since you're in the EU, you must comply with the regulations regarding HID lights; i.e. you also have to buy the adjusters that move the lights up and down based on measurements of the car's movement. So you also have to install the Hella sensors that do that measuring...

What this all comes down to, is that it's not worth the work in my opinion. You could install HID without the adjusters, but that would make the car illegal to use on public roads. So HID conversion is not worth the effort if you ask me....

Now if your car had been a tuned-up 8G things would be different (at least I think so), because the cost of the HID conversion relative to the resale value of the car wouldn't be as high..... But that's just how I see it.

Try these bulbs from this website:

Btw, the color of those bulbs is like the picture of my headlights you see below.

How many watt are these? According to the description on my headlights I can use 55 watt tops....

I got all excited about these Xenon, ultra white and blue headlights that i discovered on Ebay. Thought it was some secret technology that nobody else had.

Then I was in two of the local auto parts stores the other day just lookin' (as you do) and there they all are, and about the same as the internet prices. Some of them were the same brand. Price was around AUD40.00

I am sure your stores will have them too, just ask the spare parts convertors for advice.

I've already ordered some 'laser lights' from a shop here in Holland. They are ok, but not as white as I would like em.

My biggest suggestion is to get some 93 USDM galant headlights. They are a clear glass lense and when I used those with some sylvania cool blue lights they were plenty bright and clear and not too expensive.
I currently have some JDM lights now which I just need to get some good bulbs for. Silverstars are okay but are too pricey IMHO and would definetly reccommend their Cool Blue's as a cheaper and decent alternative.

I've opted for upgrading my spotlamps, rather than fiddling with my headlamps [altho I do have those Ice-white bulbs you're looking at getting]

I've managed to acquire some HID spotlamps [usually fitted to the Mazda MX-5] for my car, so I'm going to get some clear covers made to replace the standard lamps, then mount my spots behind them & wire them to turn on with my high-beams

HOT!!!!

Just released on the Norwegian market (and yes, slightly illegal in Norway when used for anything but high beam), DIRECT REPLACEMENT HID "bulbs" that fits in the socket of most car bulbs including models for H1 and H4 (the most widely used euro bulbs) replacements. Other types available are H3, H7 and bi-xenon H4 bulbs. You US guys can probably have them in your sizes too.
The system was tested by the Norwegian in-depth car magazine Drive, and they reported the difference was amazing, especially on high beam. "Totally dark roads turned into daylight" (quote).
Their test was based on replacing the H1 bulbs on a Audi Porsche RS2.

The mag says the xenons are produced by the same manufacturers that deliver xenon lights to a lot of car manufacturers, but sadly doesn't state what brand it is. I can't read the logo or manufacturer's name from the cardboard box they came in in the picture, but at least now we know that the truth (or xenon) is out there, and it's available! https://www.thegalantcenter.org/style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif

How much are you paying for them in Norway?

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE(marktheblake)</div><div class='quotemain'>How much are you paying for them in Norway?</div>

The price for all types except for the H4 bi-xenon to full-xenon replacement was 4000NOK, which by today's currency rate equals US$280.

Now remember, Norway is a very high-cost country, so they should be cheaper in other countries.

Hmmm,. maybe though in Norway people earn a lot more ? :-)

I have seen Xenon type globes for around $40 in OZ, but i have also seen them for $140. I think i will try the cheaper ones next time I do a bulb, but otherwise its a non-essential upgrade and doesnt impress the girlies.

Can you imagine going to the beach and saying, hey everyone check out me Xenons?

Here's a pic of the 93's .

Here's the JDM front end conversion (I didn't have a hood as it was being used for the CF hood mold).

FYI I painted the bumper myself in my garage (it used to be blue) for a total of $30.

Damn - I like those 93's so much more than my JDM's .
What kind of bulbs can you go with 93's? Are they H4's?

They are the same as the stock US which IIRC is 9003's and 9004's . You would have to re-wire like I had to re-wire for my JDM's with the city lights.

Tell me, is this re-wireing a big project? Is there any tutorial any where... vfaq - maybe?

It's not too hard more or less you will need to add some connectors for the bulbs to plug into (on mine I had to swap connectors in the opposite way you will I went from US to JDM) . It would also be a good time to upgrade the wiring on the lighting which will make them even brighter. Here is a good basic link to explain how to re-wire your headlights:

Some tips for the headlights.

The JDM lights have a tendency to get dity in time (don't know about the USDM). The lenses and reflectors go black. You can clean it by:
1. removing the whole assembly and the wirings installed
2. mix laundry detergent soap with water
3. place the mixture inside the assembly and shake it like crazy
4. repaeat step 3 until the lenses are completely clean
5. rinse it off very well
6. dry it up using a hair/blow drier aimed at the inside.
** don't use tap water if it has minerals/sediments. it could leave some nasty water marks **

It would look like new. did it on my galant, and it gives a better light now.
