Here's a question, how do I modify the A/C controls to look good with my radio and equalizer?

They both have brackets and the A/C looks dumb, to me...

True, true. As the Rolling Stones would suggest, maybe I'll "paint it black."

I just got finished with painting all the trim and vents, I've got a major headache from do this in a non-ventilated area. I'll post pics of how nice it looks without the ghey wood trim.

BTW Krylon Fusion is very good paint! Always remember to take your time and apply thin coats...if you need pointers I'll try to help.

Yeah, it came stock like that. The reason mine is out a little more than yours is because of the following:

Originally I had the EQ in the middle slot, so I had to cut the mounting holes of the A/C control unit to make it fit in the bottom slot.

So, when I put it back in the middle slot I had no place to mount it, without superglue. This causes it to stick out a little more. I need to shave it a little, its gotten scratched from all the times I moved it. I'll most likely paint the woodgrain and sand/refinish the A/C controls. (Pics will be provided).

For this TV i'm getting, they have a cover for it so that you can't tell anything is there. I had an idea before I knew this to make a little fiberglass cover or find something like that for each 3 slots to cover them up so you dunno whats there. Keeps it hidden, original and custom. Just a thought i'd share. https://www.thegalantcenter.org/style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif

Let's see ken... Comparing what I spent on my system to what you did, I see NO problem with having an in-dash equalizer.
