My '99 ES started this rough idleling (?) about two days ago. It kindda reminded me of when one of my spark plugs was misfiring. I replaced my plugs, but still have the problem. I checked teh wires and they seem alright. I haven't tested the coil packs though...... any ideas on how to check them of any suggestions would be greatly appreciated . I just hope this is not a "terminal" symtom for my engine.
It kindda sounds like I have a stuffed cat. converter or somethin like that. It seems to accelerate quicker, but it sounds like the engine is going crazy producing a rough noise when I floor it and I definately feel the "new" vibration on the whole car.
Could it be because on my way back from Fla. I drove my 8G at about 105-110 for a couple of hours?
