 That 240SX bumper is sweeeeeet!

Couldn't you fill it in black? Or maybe make Brandon's car a different color and match that? It doesn't do it justice compared to the PS of Tony's car... https://www.thegalantcenter.org/style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif

seth98esT

I voted 240sx as well. With a little alteration(smaller outer vents and a tad bigger center) that bumper will be awesome!

i like the cwest but it looks too aggressive for me ... :? i would like the 240 but now that looks a lil plain... maybe with more modifications ill pick the 240 instead on the cwest....

there i fixed it up a little. and if you think it looks to plain, you could always fit a lip to it

why not make an open center like how the shogun and vis kits are for the 8g, that would look better

and incorporate the hood bar into the bumper, so nobody has to buy something to make them fit

Yes, they are ready. Keep in mind that the actual count was tied 18/18... therefore I think the final vote should be cast by eracing. You decide which bumper will be better for you to manufacture.

It's in your hands now eracing, now where do we go from here?

Well, then if you guys ready to do it, first thing first..
We need to find a donor car..

We will need your pre-order before we start with prototype.. once all the order received or verified.. we will do prototype in 2 weeks and mold another 2 weeks. Total of 4 weeks and we will start shipping.

This is gonna be for Front Bumper only right??

i just noticed......

that 240 bumper photoshoped on brandons car... is incorrect...
the final version of the bumper will not look like that..... based on the info that eracing said before there gonna mold it off of the stock bumper..... meaning its gonna stick out just like the stock bumper....
in my opinion it would be just as easy to design the new bumper into having a built in crush bar so we can have that euro look.... and not that USDM.....
like i said in the other topic/post.... the photo looks like the BMW concept i showed u people

...... and brandon if u invest in this bumper... ill be more than happy to buy that JDM bumper of yours.....

somebody might wanna photoshop it right.... just extend it outward....

Yo man forget that 240 Bumper. The votes resulted that the C-West bumper was the winner. Now fair is fair I think we should be talking more about how the C-West bumper will look like on the 7G not the 240. To be all out honest the 240 SX bumper is nice but the C-West is just better looking side by side. Which is why it won in the voting. I pictured both bumpers on the car (at different times of course) and thought about what both of the cars would look like and I'm 100% sure that the C-West will grab more attention from people on the street. People would say man that 240 bumper on that Galant is ok its kind of nice, but the normal Shogun is better (which it is). But with the C-West people would take pictures, scream oh my god, and frankly come up to us and ask us how did we get a front end bumper that looks so nice from. We would proudly say from TGC, must be a member, and tell them about the website and the TGC family. Quite honestly we would get people looking and buying 7Gs like people do Civics. Some people might not like that here, but the thought that we had something to do with that would put a smile on you guys faces. And then more aftermarket parts would be made for the 7G that would be easier to come by like the prededer hood, Z3 fenders, air intakes, euro clears, and things of that nature that are hard to find and some not ever made. And the C-West front bumper can be the beginning of that.

2True
11-05-2003, 02:09 PM
Yeah, but if you actually read the thread... 2 people changed their vote after they had actually voted. Hence 18/18...

brandon
11-05-2003, 02:14 PM
Chances are I won't be in on this (at least in the original group), but I personally think the reason the 240 style bumper is better is because it's nice and simple. That C-west bumper is to extreme... yeah you'll get looks with it but it doesn't really flow like the 240 style would. And if it is the start of a predator hood, Z3 fenders, and euro lights, I say NO WAY! If I wanted all that stuff I'd be driving a Civic. https://www.thegalantcenter.org/style_emoticons/default/wink.gif

SIMPLE IS BETTER! (in my opinion obviously)

That's why I opted to ditch the shogun front.

Ok guys!
If you want to be fast, can you live with fiberglass bumper?
If yes, we can do it asap. Give me some response!

I would prefer a fiberglass kit. Yes it is weaker, but much easier to repair. Im all for fiberglass.

Now how much are we talking for this bumper???

Sounds great. Would you mind making a thread in the GB section about this? Including payment options and price quotes and everything?

240 for me the evo is too squared off for the rounded styling of the 7g.

How bout this..
We will finished C-west style first and if you still don't like it and want to have different one.. you can organize another GB for 240. Only 15 pre-order and we will make em.

11-23-2003, 11:34 PM
so another 15 for the 240?

How bout we make a design everyone likes so we can do this right. The Cwest bumper is a good design to a certain extent.
1) It is a bit block, the bumper needs to be more round
2) From the top front view(White evo pictured earlier) it is rather hidious and the bottum lip sticks out.

Now can eRacings build a bumper similar, but better flowing for our round 7g?

damn, i dont mean to come off as being an asshole, but we could spend over 200 pages talking about this. what we need to do is get our asses in gear and organize this more.

we need to get a list of 7Gers that are hardcore interested, and start a new thread, where only those members should respond. in that thread participating 7Gers should list want they want in detail. the person running the group buy (seth) will have the excruciating task of reading everyone's wants and then project a few bunch of options.

from there we can narrow it down to a winning bumper. this is obvoiusly gonna take a while but at the rate we're going, we'll never get a decision. people keep showing up at the last moment with a comment that restarts everything.

that came out really mean sounding, but i'm in a good mood right now. just trying to get serious

hah the gb thread has the list of dedicated participants(even though I havent paid yet https://www.thegalantcenter.org/style_emoticons/default/wink.gif)

we really just need to know what variation of the cwest kit we want. We want one that looks like the blue with evo grill, not the white car. I think eRacing can handle it seeing how they are creating their own mold from scratch, they can make it look however they want...

Thats fine.
If the Cwest is not what majority want then don't do it because the GB will not meet.
I can make the bumper a bit round and can adjust the bottom lip if you said too stick out. I saw this bumper on Lancer and it looks good the bottom lip does not stick out much. On the blue chop, the cannards make the bumper look sharp and stick out but the bumper itself is good.

DEAD!

If we can find a manufacturer that is compitent enough to make a bumper and care about its customers, I think we can get it done. But as of now, eRacings has abandoned us.

probably tru... however since there seems to be more galant sites maybe we should try asking again.... its been a while now /....when u started this there was no galantforums yet n now its pretty big.... maybe we should vote again.... :? what do u think guys think...

Its too bad it never went through. Its rather rather messed up that their more kits available for 8g's and even the 6g Galants than the 7th gens. I'll most likely refabricate the front that I had on -G-host on the 96.

Import_Beast

maybe someone should try contacting erebuni and see if they would be willing to make another kit for us....since they already know what there working with all they need is another design
