Wow...the more I look at the JDM headlights the more I wish I had spent my money on them instead of HIDs. It just makes the car just that much more aggressive. That white Galant in the pic for some reason reminds me of a G20 or Lancer...dunno why.

talk to mochanges. he might still have his bumper. i know he has the jdm bumper grille and the projector fogs. all you are gonna need to finish things off is the headlights and all the necessary mods for installation

I believe Mo has the full VR4 kit. It can be made to fit the US Galant, but its custom and i hope you know a good body man.

Do you guys think that the front bumper that Yetello (VR-4) is using right now can fit into US spec or not???
because I'm about to get it after x'mas....
Thanks for the information

it will fit with a whole buncha mods to the bumper...a good bodyman should be able to do it...if you can get the bumper itself

Well if you guys have a picture of whats behind your font bumper, meaning I need to see the attachments of the bumper, than I can tell if it will fit. seems like the headlights are a little bit smaller than the JDM ones. It also seems like you can not use the US style grill. Let me know and I will help.

Hey guys, though I would chime in. I just dropped off my car today to a shop to see if they can do the conversion or not. It's hard to find a body shop here in Minnesota that is willing to touch it. I can't wait until I move! Anyways, as you all know, the headlights are not too hard, same with the grill. The problem has been the bumper, it requires a bit more work than I initially thought it would. Add to that the fact that I have been so unsure about what to do with my car (keep it, get a WRX, get a 240sx, ???) and that fact that I tried once to sell it with no luck, and that's why it has taken so long. I am gonna see what happens and then decide what to do with my car. There have been quite a few inquiries into the parts, but each time I tell people how much they cost me, they disappear. Ah well, hopefully by Christmas I will have a US VR-G! (I hope.)

Oh yeah, one more thing, this conversion has been done before, I am NOT the first to do it. Here is a link, he used to be on the older Galant Center.

To. Mohammad

Have you installed the VR-4 bumper (JDM) into the US spec???
What kind of problems???
'cause I am about to get the kits after Christmas???
Where did you get it (Only the front bumper or the whole kits?) ??? How much???
Thank you

To. Yetello

I had install the headlights and the Euro Grill, but I'm still waiting for the whole kits???
How much in Europe??? How can I get it?? because if it's cheaper in your place, it's better for me to get it from there (cheap s/h)
Thank you

To. all members

Does anyone have galant pictures without both front and rear bumper, because I need that for Yetello to figure out whether the US Spec can use JDM Spec VR-4 kits. Thanks a million

if you guys didn't know the initial v and the erebuni body kits are jspec body kits. i velieve u just have to make some new mounts for it and do a lil bit of body work, nothing too hard for a body shop, especialyl since u already have the headlights

side skirts shouldn't be that big of a deal and same with the rear end. the front end should be the hardest part. uhm getting the lines to look good and match will kidna be hard too but shouldn't be too hard for a good body man. here's some advice too, get it done right the first time instead of some half ass job u gotta redo in a few months

Mechanix:

I am currently trying to get the bumper installed. I need to order up some more parts. I can get you the parts if you want, PM me. The bumper will not bolt on without removing the front bumper reinforcement. I am not willing to do that, so I have to order the JDM reinforcement. If you are willing to take this risk (safety issues and the fact that your insurance may not cover you in an accident) you can just remove it, but that is a bad idea. So far, that's the extent of it. I am still learning more about what is needed.

for cheaps, home depot gots gutter mesh. just put a clear protectant or something to protect from discoloration and rust.

uhm your local auto parts store might carry some, it should be in the ricer aisle. if not check out some online dealers or some speed shops. uhm the major brand that comes to mind is APC. uhm as for ebay, i really don't suggest it cuz its usually 2 dollar gutter mesh thats being sold for 20 30 dollars

O.k

It has been a while, but thats what you get when you are in the militairy always from home. I got the whole mod just from my mits. dealer. I can give you some part numbers of the whole package. Those are the numbers the Dutch domestic dealers using, I don´t know if these are world wide numbers. The thing is for the fog lights and highbeams in the bumper this is a German kit which is supplied by my dealer. It is not gonna be cheap. I payed only for the parts over $1000 without the paint job. thats Europe ( I payed over $26,000 for a standart 2.0L Galant and that is the cheapest one). For the future please respond to the post and E-mail me otherwise I can´t keep up. Because I have to install my Hood Skirts and Back bumper.
