some people are replacing there carpet with other carpet i was thinking as i fell asleep last night would it be better to instead of replacing carpet with more carpet to replace it with vinyl? wouldnt it be easier to clean? has anyone done this or seen it done? or is this just even stupid for me to post!!!

it can be done...but then vinyl is slippery when wet, and most of the time won't last as long as carpet, i mean on the floor because of all the harsh foot traffic.

I disagree. The vinyl will last longer as long as it's a decent grade of vinyl. Carpet gets all fuzzy and screwed up after a while, but the vinyl looks pretty much the same until you wear completely through it. Think of all the pick-up trucks that come with vinyl as the stock floor covering. It's cheaper and more durable so they put it the striped down work trucks along with vinyl seats. Which is the main reason why I would NOT use vinyl. It just looks cheap.
