i actually just posted something familiar......anyway ghost said that the automatics adjust to your driving habbits. so if its not quick on the take off disconnect the battery for about 5 min. and then as soon as you connect it...i guess you gotta floor it. or set it how u want it. I still havent tried it but i will soon. https://www.thegalantcenter.org/style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif

If u try it before me let me know. PEACE

yea, our tranny's conform to our driving style. if you drive like a granny it will learn to shift like a granny. if you're speed racer over there, your tranny will conform to your speed racer like habits. but you got to give it a chance to learn. you can't jsut disconnect the battery and automatically think its gonna know to be speed racer over there. you goota drive it around for it bit to get it a chance to learn.

yeah, dont do that. just step all the way down on the brake, rev your car up to like 2 grand while still stepping on the brake, and when the light turns green, let off the brake and floor it. thats the best way i can think of.

the tranny is constantly learning. meaning like if sum1 else drives your car for a few days, your tranny would adjust to that drivers style of driving. tehn when you get it back, your tranny would have to relearn your driving style somewhat and adjust to your drivign style

it all makes sense now! My wife doesn't drive as offensively as I do, so when I get behind the wheel, the car just seems to lag! Then there are the times where it shifts gears according to how I drive. it all makes sense now!

so if it does it to how you drove previesly then whats the point of disconnecting the battery? and when you disconnect it do you do the pos, neg or both

disconnecting the battery clears the memory. so the car has nothign previous to depend on so it tends to learn things quicker than that gradual change u have with just switching styles.

but yea, no matter if you disconnect one or both, you always disconnect the ground (negative) first.

Easy way to disconnect the battery is to just remove the negative. It's safer that way too.
