The "GS" ecu is for the 4g64 DOHC...which setup differently from the SOHC. So if you are planning to use it with a SOHC 64...it ain't gonna run.

Yah, GS 4g64 uses DIS instead of a distributor...

and ISC instead of IAC i think also

I use DIS instead of a distrbuter =D

A GS ECU I *think* has conectors more like the 1g. I believe this topic came up on another group, and if thats the case even if you wanted to use it for a swap youd have to geta new harness and bla bla bla..

Why do you want it anyway?

I wasn't going to get it, I would destroy my car. I was just wondering if someone could use it b/c i saw that you (jip) are using a 2g ecu and thought that maybe someone could use it. Oh well, I guess not.

Your beter off with a 2g ecu, (for ease of installation, I like the OBD1 features of the 1g, but you could always install DSMLINK in the 2g eprom ecu and have most of the same feauters with lots of extras), for a turbo setup just because of the knock control and larger injector support.

The GS my have a knock sensor I duno, but it still uses 270cc injectors which means more fidling with the AFC, etc..
