Hey when I come to a stop at a light or whatever I hear/feel a sudden clunk as the car comes to a stop. Anyone ever have this problem? What was the cause and the solution?

with clunking at comming to stops also every time i would take off from a stop either forward or reverse the trans would shift back and forth, now just yesterday it started leaking trans fluid very exsesively.amco just rebult the trans over 1 year ago,my waranty just expired 1 month ago.So i got the car towed to amco to see what they can cover, they told me they would have to take the whole trans off to find out whats wrong and they wanted to charge $550 just to do that i didint go with that so they toped it off with fluid and i took it to ar transmissions so they can check it out thankfully one of my buddies works thier so the said he would check it out for me and give me a discount. I will find out tomarro what the prblem is.

My clunking clearly comes from teh drivers side. Pretty sure its one of the mounts. I noticed the car didnt clunk at all when I drove with the rear mount removed from the car. I filled the rear mount back up again...it clunks ocasionaly now.

Check all the mounts, specially the front one. The rear is harder to get at, but I think that the front one is the one that is making the clunk noise. Iam replacing mine this weekend.
