I See Sabzi online.. I see seth has a s/c
anyone else out There I dont' know About?

I'd love to hear....

ps..As always..there's good And bad news...

good: the Wiring harness is being Shipped off this week, (if I don't get Too busy) and The galant Will be "done" (again) before N.Y.E.!!
bad: I'm trying to Decide if I keep..or Sell.
as of right now, I can Sell it, and walk away even..plus lots of good friends, and good Times..
or, I can Keep it register it as a race car, And REALLY get Serious, but I'm not Sure I have The time/cash to invest further...

11-03-2003, 11:27 AM
lol no one's arguing, i was just making a suggestion

never got a better trap or time, still haven't mounted my wider rims, and b.c of that, haven't gone back 2 the track. there's nothing i can do 4 now, when i was tuned properly i started losing traction in 3rd gear. i need @least 2nd gear 2 work if i'm gunna get any decent times, and i don't feel like lowering the boost, highway pulls r way 2 much fun https://www.thegalantcenter.org/style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif

g96nt
11-03-2003, 11:44 AM
see.. this always pissed me off...
even w/ the 103 traps... I NEVER broke free in 2nd or third..aside From COLD mornings

even @ 20Psi

1st gear Was worthless... but 2nd never did me wrong...
I'm willing to assume it was the tires....

and sabzi... you SHOULD have bought my wheels!
I just sold Them for $600

sabzi5858
11-03-2003, 01:14 PM
well, remember i'm on a bigger turbo also, GT30 compressor.. i couldn't hold traction in 1st or 2nd even at 18psi, but on the other hand, i'm sure your tires r much better than mine.

for some reason i was under the impression that you had already sold your rims *shrugs*.. oh well, i bought a set of 16x7.5's for $120, not 2 bad a deal https://www.thegalantcenter.org/style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif

whats a good psi to run a daily driven car. and do u guys have any engine mods to sapport it or u just run stock engines with turbos. cus i thought that the engine would like burn up lol https://www.thegalantcenter.org/style_emoticons/default/smile.gif. btw im kinda new here wasup guys https://www.thegalantcenter.org/style_emoticons/default/smile.gif

seth98esT
11-06-2003, 11:37 AM
more boost you want to run, more internal mods you have to do. Stock 4g63t runs ~14lbs of boost. On our auto trannies, most people dont run over 8lbs...

g96nt
11-06-2003, 12:41 PM
the important point to make here Is That the ones Talking About high boost do NOT have the stock motors. most, like me have Swapped down To the 2L turbo motor from eclipse GSt/X

on a stock motor.. I'd say 5-6Psi is what I'd push before SERIOUS mods... as Far as fuel, and All.

The First boosted 4cyl Galant Supercharged courtesy of Ripp Mods right here. Running 7psi

Just got the stage 2 part of the kit a couple weeks back which is a boost cooling system that sprays methanol at 3000 rpms. It uses Pre-Stone De-Icer as the fluid because it has the right mixture of methanol. I love it, its like stepping on the gas twice!!!!!! https://www.thegalantcenter.org/style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif

Ive completely built my motor just for boost.. It use to be all motor and from the work i did on that, it took to boost way better than what i had expected.. Everything has ben completely done, the only thing left really are to get a set of APR head studs, and to put my LSD in to handle the power on the bottom end..

Ripp shipped me this 3 weeks ago and has yet to supply me with the directions. Have they installed it on your car yet?

Although I do not own a Galant, I own a 4G64 eclipse (same motor) which is boosted. I am running the RIPP supercharger along with RIPP's boost cooler (water/methanol injection). My car is currently pushing 12-15psi on stock internals.

Does *almost* count? <G>

I ordered my SDS on Oct. 17th. Just found out from Cody it shipped today and I hope to install it over Thanksgiving week. IF, that is, the header comes in - they are back-ordered now. I'll be stage 1, at 5psi, but probably upgrading to stage 2 next spring.

Yup, SDS, motor mounts, Header, Rims, Conti Tires, Tein springs, KYB AGX - shit I just spent $5400 on the Galant in Oct.!

1st SDS V6 galant; runnin 5-7psi daily

built motor by RIPP 9:1 compression forged RIPP pistons

Still using HKS afr with jumpy signal (does anyone know of the right tach??)

Before the engine build the car put down 260whp....after...still havent done it yet because RIPP hasnt had time to tune it yet (hhhmmmm it has been almost 6 months since engine build)

Then I bought an EVO: mods to date: 3" TB - no cat; intake; TurboXS DV; and Dynoflashed - put down 273...after i get the car back from the shop i am installing a Pro Hallman MBC and i should have around 300whp after another dynoflash.

I was going to go stage 2 with the G-ride, but I havent gotten any response from RIPP yet.

The Spyder guys over at the 4G64 yahoo forum are great, but I'm finding that a few issues here and there I'm having apply to the Galant only.

06-02-2004, 06:21 PM
Actually fstrthnu has a 4g63t.... he used to have a turbo'ed 4g64, but had too many problems

sethmo
06-02-2004, 06:46 PM
TurboGalant should still be turboed.

I will be '63t powered here in a week and a half...

brandon

I should be good to go sometime this or next week. I think I'm going to go with a 2G ECU and knock sensor though, so that could take another couple weeks afterward.

Lots of fabrication, relocation, and random parts you didn't know you'd need are required for this project. BEWARE. haha

no john never turbo'd the 64...he scraped the idea and went with a cyclone motor

get that thing on the road seth so we can see sum numbers...its kool that you almost done...ive had everything sitttin in the garage forever...just dont have any other means of transportation and its my only car  ...so i gotta basically w8 till i have another reliable car for the wife and kid...thats also the reason i havent done my 5spd conversion
