is this a good price for install

well i am nearing my completion of parts i need for a full suspension and brake install.

i have kyb all around
eibach springs
dba rotors all four
and still need to get break pads i am thinking of getting the metal master.

now a place around my way wants to charge me 300 for the full install of all those parts including allignment and they are ASE certified so you know if anything goes wrong i can go back to them.

now is 300 a good price, also where can i get a set for the metal master or should i pick something different. I had read before also that the 2000 galant has double piston or single i am not sure. help me out guys its been a long time comming for me lol. then in the spring i will get new shoes for my baby

Not a bad price. Just for the install on the springe will run you about $150.00 so not really that bad. Really it is average.

If I am not mistakin you have a double piston caliper. They started making single piston after 2001 but I am only 50% sure. :?

and IMO since you are doing a major modification here don't stop with what you got here... Go ahead with the brake pads...

300 is a really good price i was quoted by 2 shops that springs alone were around 65 a quarter (i didnt pay that ofcourse)

i see that good. i mean around here you can get springs and struts installed for around 150-250. and then additional like 50-80 dollars for the alignment. then you still got the brakes. but yea i think its a good dea

to do it safely, yea. but you can rent those from like an auto parts store. or even buy one. they only in the 30 dollars range.

Key word here is "safely". I did mine by wraping the whole strut with about two blankets and just let it shoot out into it and holding it very tight. I do not recomend this but I wasn't going to pay $60.00 to rent one.

thanks for the input guys, and TGCLI if i had time and the tools i would do it myself but i got neither so paying someone else to do and back it up if something goes wrong makes me feel better. Once again thanks guys

if your doing the struts and springs at the same time you dont need a spring compressor just take the whole stock assembly off and replace it with the new one

from what i read many times on the board is that you need to compress it to put the top hat on it. and i have eibachs prokit

when i put on my progress springs i didnt need a spring compresser but if you want get one its like 6 bucks a day to rent one from autozone or pepboys

i check out raceconcepts.net they have it for a 99-01 galant so i will be given them a call tomorrow the price is not bad 95 for all fours. if anyone know any different place let me know guys.

A good price for install is 0. yes, 0. Everything that is humanly possible, you should do it yourself. I understand if you can't pull the motor and rebuild it, but springs and such, you should be able to do.

acura dude 8) if i had the tools and the time i would do it, but instead i got money from all the hours i work, and don't get time to do it.
