they come in a halogen format too. you don't have to get the ones with the HID

as for HID's being illegal, i believe tehy are illegal as an aftermarket part and legal oem

To knowingly break a law is your choice. This is how most people would think: "Most cops can't tell if it is DOT approved or not" or "When it comes time for vehicle inspections I'll just swap back in my OEM"

Yeah, you're right - OEM's are legal, but they killed off AM HID kits because people weren't aligning them correctly and were effectively blinding people from what I read.

Hmm...pretty nice, even if you just get Hally's, unfortuneately - I can't read that site well, how much do they run?

Low beam: Halogen projector (H7 55 W)
High beam: Halogen SC (H155 W)

Set contents:Halogen low-beam ×2, halogen high beam ×2,turn signal×2andprivate cowl×2

at current exchange rate, price for parts alone (according to http://www.xe.com ('http://www.xe.com') ):

HID low, halogen hi = 228,000 YEN = $2,092.28 USD

halogen lo, halogen hi = 128,000 YEN = $1,174.55 USD

also unless you have a super duper importer hookup, be prepared to pay minimum $100.00 over the retail prices for import fees and shipping (probably more like $250). btw, you will also need a JDM grill or a front bumper that omits the grill since USDM grills do no fit JDM headlights. on top of all that, the conversion will involve cutting metal on your car to fit these and the headlights themselves will have the wrong headlight pattern so you will have to modify them internally by "rotating" the internal beam cutoff pieces from _ to _/ inside the projectors. if this is still feasable, by all means, you would b the first to do it and it would b great! good luck and if you need any info on install (cutting, wiring, etc), PM me.
