all white/cleared taillights??

:?: i dont know if someone has already posted any Qs about this... but i was kind of interested on white or cleared taillights .... ive seen it on some acuras and hondas.... but has anyone ever seen them on a galant ? (if anyone has done it can i see pics or maybe photoshop it)i kinda like the idea tho :idea: ..... are they any special made lights like that to fit out Gs or a tutorial on how to do that ??? https://www.thegalantcenter.org/style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif ur guy's help would be great ...Thanx......

i think the only thing we have to choose from are altezza, jdm, or usdm. sucks. prolly w/ some $$$$ you can get somebody to fabricate some clear tails for ya. i know i want some tails w/ a slight tint to them.

sigma speed used to make and sell clear tails for the galant. since sigma speed is in japan, they were of the jdm format. but yea, last time i checked, they weren't in their catalog anymore, nor the chromed housings for the jdm headlights.

you could look into finding white covers like the black ones that some mambers on this site have. I know MrJaYdEeOne has them.

if u want white taillights, cover it with tricktape. tricktape is a perforated vinyl. you see mostly color but it has lil holes in it so the light can shine thru.

im currently working on making clear taillights now im using the clear covers like on floresent office lights cuz its flexable

these are how mine look now they are painted and light only shine through the circles

Way back when I did the first group buy for JDM tails, I was offering the chance to get all clear JDM tails, but I needed to buy atleast 5 sets and not enough people were interested. Anyway, if 5 or more people are interested, you may still be able to get them from the company I dealt with. That company is Ecarboy in Hong Kong. Below is a picture that I got from Ecarboy of the clear tails. If you contact [email protected] and ask him, he might be able to help. Or you can also email [email protected] and talk to him since he was the one I actually dealt with at Ecarboy, but he has his own company now.

ah hell yeah. if these cost the same as the other jdms, i'll put my tezzes on ebay. i wanted some like those from the getgo, but i could find any. too many people have jdms. i want something different. i don't like the tezzes, but i wanted something to make my car look different from all the other galants around here. i tried looking at that website that made clears for other cars, but our car got shot down.

Well, back when I did the group buy, they would have been $280 shipped and about a 2 week period for Ecarboy to get them made from the company that makes them, then the time it takes to ship to your door. That was along time ago, so who knows if they are even available anymore. I'll contact the 2 guys I mentioned above and see what they say.

no. these lights weren't even meant to be sold in the US so i doubt the manufacturer would even try to get them officially legal. but yea just by lookign at them, they don't meet dot standards.

I think you would be safe if you use red bulbs for the driving and break lights. i don't think the cops will fu&# with you much. You could also customize them, add a bit of red reflector here and there or just place one behind the white reflector. It' worth the try.

hey as long as u dont plan on doing or having anything illegal in your car i guess its fine to have them.. but the last thing i want is a cop pulling me over for having them and then getting a dwi or finding weed in the car!! :shock:

Personally, I believe they have to be going away from the red in back because If anyones seen the new RX suv from Lexus its got all White tailights that light up Red and this is coming from the dealer, not aftermarket. No red reflector only red lights. Now I have no clue how its DOT legal but appartently it is.

m'eh, i'm not a big fan of altezzas, or cut-out lights, and I probably dislike the all clear tails the most....I can't stand them. If you have to get something, get those JDM tails...those look really nice. WTF is that?!?!? It's just a clear housing with some tractor-trailer taillamps stuck in there. You can even see the screws that hold the lenses on. If it wan't for the screws that might have looked kewl. Then again, if they just used the LED lamps from the tractor-trailers, that would have been really kewl. Where the hell did you find these???

those clear taillights would prolly have been cool in 1998 but they are kinda ricey now.. i hate seeing accords and civics with clear taillights .. they look so cheesy and cheap looking.. but who knos maybe it'll look good
