(Side note before I start this entry, I just realized that I joined the site the day after I got my Galant...actually it was probably the same day but after midnight lol)

I've performed routine maintenance on my car (oil changes, distributor cap, spark plugs, etc). I've always done routine maintenance like that on my cars. Just because I'm a woman doesn't mean I can't, and I really pity the woman who can't or won't even learn, its a valuable tool to know. I'll admit though, it really is a bitch to change the spark plugs in this car.

But when my Service Engine Light comes on and I can't figure out why it is on, I will rely on professionals (I will be finding new professionals after what I have heard about one of the mechanics at the shop I had been using). Well in December 2012 I took my car to the shop originally for a hard crank but said I wanted them to check that light as well. I got a call from the shop while I was at work and called them on my lunch break. They took the engine apart and found a broken injector o-ring. Well they were able to fix that and it only cost me $300 (which is ridiculous when you think the part only cost them $10 and the rest was labor...assholes lol). But they did get that fixed so for that I do tip my hat to them. Well a couple weeks after I had my car back it started to run like shit again. Then noticed oil leaking out through a spark plug tube....awesome. You see the love/hate relationship here yet? So that is the next project for the car, BUT I'm going to replace some other things while I'm at it and just get some shit done while I'm in there any way. Might as well make a day or 2 out of it.
