Well first off I just want to thank you all for voting for me. I'm glad y'all noticed that this car deserves to recognized. it has ALOT done to it from a full JDM conversion on the body and suspension, and one hell of an engine build she has definitely come a long way thats for sure.
*I bought the car a few years back from *Buena Park California when I was stationed in the marine corps on camp Pendleton California, *and it was bone stock with a white door and fender. *The first day i test drove it i knew it was going to be mine. He told me that 3 others wanted it, then i told him that ill have the money tomorrow and the next day i showed up with 4,000 dollars cash. And it was one of the greatest days of my life to be the owner of a real 1991 Mitsubishi Galant VR4! Her badge number is 550/2000. I Then I slowly started to restore the car and find lots of pieces that were missing from the car like speaker covers, a/c vents, a/c knob, horn didn't work, gas gauge didn't work, timing was all messed up power steering didn't work etc etc,*
This is the first car that I have owned that has driven all across the united states with no problems. She did the 5,000+ mile journey to the 2011 DSM shootout in Norwalk Ohio driving from Socal California and even got 28 miles to the gallon along the way. Then she drove from Cali to Goodyear Arizona and back last year no problem, then from Cali to Houston Texas her current home. I plan on changing my setup and Upgrading from the *35R to an HTA3794R with a topmount manifold and driving all the way to the shootout in Ohio again on Aug 16th 2013.
Goals for the car are to hit the 10 sec mark on the track, and 600+ AWHP. And brembos.*
My favorite thing about this car is that is a piece of mitsubishi history and is very rare here in the U.S. And how they only made 3000 of them which all get their own badge number. Everytime someone sees it, they always say either "they have never seen one in person" or "you never see these on the road anymore". And last but not least I love how sleeper it is with the Turbo and All Wheel Drive mated to a 5-Speed manual transmission, it's truly a work of art and feels amazing. I've always wanted a Galant VR4 in my younger days and never thought I would have one. I *love this car soo much. Her name is Samara btw =)
I would like to thank the following people who have helped me with the car: Kris Albee, Corey Jensen, Zak Lafata, Mike Collins, Sam from RRE, Rob Ritchie, kelby guerrero, Josh Myers, Robin Arias, Evol McPherson, Angel Baez, William Monroe, Warren Winmyint, Paul from JNZ tuning, the great people on GalantVR4.org, Tony Bird for photographing the car, Detective Coating, EBay, STM, FIST Racing,*
