Thanks Matt for the nomination and everyone else for the votes! My original plan was to buy a near perfect Datsun 280z but plans went down the tube when the guy tried to jump it and fried the fuse links and ecu. My very first 8g was purchased May 5th 2012 not long after and was nailed in a hit-n-run T-bone June 7th. I enjoyed the car however and got curious as to what I could do with it in terms of looks and performance. I bought a set of wheels a couple weeks later and was infatuated with the car.

Going a bit into the past here…A few years before buying the car I went to Malaysia for a month with a 3 day layover in Japan. While there I saw lots of modified cars and a few roaring past the transit to JAL Narita Hotel. It sparked my interested in modifying my own eventually someday. The style I saw there was a night and day difference to the cars from the USA. I felt that what we have in the USA lacked something but I could never put my finger on and still can't. After the layover, Malaysia was a whole other scene. Similar but a bit more sparser than Japan. My influences in exterior and in general, direction, came from what I've seen there.

Back to the First car, three years after that trip I dropped 1800 and there was my first, all shiny and low miles Patriot Red Galant. I was devastated that my car was toasted but decided on buying the second ASAP. I bought the 2nd one June 12th. Called the guy and he was in Wisconsin on business but came back just to sell it. Another 1400 and I had a rust free Barcelona Red Galant sitting in the driveway next to the other. I sold the 1st to a friend who replaced the body panels and tires. I am going to be retrieving it this winter however. On to the second car I first switched the wheels over and proceeded to do the finless grille mod. Afterwards I bought some other odds and ends and let it sit for a bit before a few other bits and pieces were installed.

This past summer before Factory MOD I dropped it on Tein SS coilovers that I bought for 500 and it was one of the first major mods aside from the tails. As of now I plan to keep working on this car and plan to make some major changes come spring. You'll like it I promise. Any who thanks to Matt and Silvertune mainly for their advice and help as well as parts. You guys have inspired me for the most part to really get into it and to be different. The first day I met you guys I learned a lot and still am. At the end of the day I had one of my first “performance” mods, the 6g72 throttle body and it snowballed from there. Also I would like to thank everyone for their advice and comments on this forum. If I hadn’t found this site I would have been stuck with something less appealing in my eyes and very bland. All the information that is gathered here is like gold and continues to present new ideas and help one another with almost anything. To me this is a close knit community (like family almost?) and I hope to contribute more in the future and look forward to what’s next. Lastly I would like to thank Keith Tau at RPM Garage and TGC member Doctor for parts. Sorry for all the reading (rather messy) and thanks again!
