Congrats to dknight3 and his JDM-swapped Galant!

I first got my galant in 2006 right after graduating high school, i knew absolutely nothing about cars at the time, i just loved the clean lines it had. I started doing my own maintenance on it to try to save money and with the discovery of tgc i eventualy gained the confidence to start doing more serious work to it. I remember instant messaging a certain member while i was doing the timing belt and he pretty much walked me through the whole thing.

I would see pictures of jdm galants online and absolutely loved the new style jdm galants, so i decided to buy a front end and put that on, and also installed some lowering springs as well. A couple years later my transmission decided to stop working all together so my car sat for almost a year while i gathered parts to do a manual transmission swap. I actually swapped in the transmission and had no idea how to drive a manual so i had to get my dad to take it for a drive to let me know if i did it right!

I still daily drive the car so it makes it a little hard to do major work, but i have brembo's and a LOT of other goodies just waiting to go on. My plan for this car is to make it a track car one day, i want to do a 6g74 swap and at the very least a limited slip although i have thought a lot about other possibilities like AWD and going forced induction. I guess you will just have to wait and see :) I have been very busy on other projects, i also own a 3000gt, and have been working on numerous cars from friends and family.

I cannot thank this community enough, my love for cars began here, if it was not for tgc i would still have a 5 finger gap in my front wheel wells.
