Congrats to M-Rod for his record-breaking 6G75-swapped, JDM-swapped, ultra clean and mean Galant!

It all started for me when I purchased the car from my aunt on New Year's Day of 2007. At that time it was a decent replacement for a Ford Taurus that I had recently totaled in an accident. It was never meant to be anything more than a car to drive to work and back for a few years before moving on to something nicer. It didn't take long before installing some of the basic changes such as an intake, strut tower bar, and wheels. It was still at the point where it was reversible in order to sell it or get a "real" project car.

Fast forward to 2010, and it had been lowered, manual trans swapped, JDM bumper swapped, and most importantly, it was powered by the 6G75 that is still alive and running strong to this day. Since then, many of the other details have been ironed out, such as the installation of a Wavetrac LSD, Megan Coilovers, Prothane and Energy motor mount and suspension bushings. As well as the full removal of the ABS, SRS, A/C, and any sound deadening and insulation in the car. In turn, the car is pretty much worthless in terms of resale, but that's just fine with me. It has it's purpose and I enjoy every moment that I spend behind the wheel.

There was something special about the Galant, and this platform in general, whether it was the underdog factor or the large family-like TGC member base of years past, that I'm determined to see rise once again. I've met a handful of people thanks to the experiences I've had on this site, and with the car that have all left an impression on me that I'll never forget. Shoutouts to polishmafia for being the first Galant owner to inspire me to do something with the car after we met at the All-Mitsu Cookout back in '08. Rob and Mitch, for keeping the site alive (and the party alive every time I'm in your part of town). And Silvertune, the guy that has helped immensely to push my car the past four years to where it is today, as well as where it will be very soon.

    Thank you TGC!
