I want to blog my progress with my car on here. My Galant and I have a love/hate relationship. Most of the time I LOVE her, most of the time she HATES me. When I was 16 I was involved with a guy who had a Galant, I liked the car a lot more then I like the guy (a little shallow I know but oh well). I dreamed of having my own Galant since then. Well after I had my daughter I knew I needed a 4 door to replace the shitty intrepid I just took to the junk yard. When I say shitty I mean I had subs in it just to drown out the noises of it sounding like it was whirling off into a different dimension, I know a little irresponsible but there was nothing that could be done for that car. When I took it to the junk yard it had almost 220,000 miles on it and it just needed to die. Well I was getting frustrated thinking I wasn't ever going to find a car I liked. I had been going to dealerships for weeks and searching private sellers for over a month looking for something that would be good enough not only for my daughter but something that I could stand driving. Well one night right before a dealership closed I found her, it was almost dark and I almost missed her. There sat my 2002 Mitsubishi Galant ES. This is what I had been looking for since I was 16 (I was 21 at this point). My dad tried to talk me out of just buying her right then and waiting until daylight to look at her (really I should have but I wasn't going to risk someone coming along before I could get back and buying her). I paid just over $4000 for her after tax, title, all that crap and drove her home that night. Little did I know how much work she was really going to need and still needs constantly. That's all for this post because I just want to document thing separately and this post is just about how I came about acquiring this beautiful bitch.
