ahhhh i just wanna know, are they out there??????? someone reply!
You mean a rear sway bar right?
OBX makes them for the 7g, it's like $100. Check here... Clickity Click
Is it worth the $100? Will it make that much difference in handling?
I think you mean the bars that go under the car...If that's so then they do exist. They go for 280 bucks and include some of the bushings.
Oh and 280 is for front and back. The company also makes complete bushing kit for our cars. That thing goes for about 300 I think.
Company is called White Line or something like that. I have to find the url...it's written somewere in my notebook https://www.thegalantcenter.org/styl...lt/biggrin.gif
your galant already has sway bars.
only GS, and LS of some years came with a rear sway-bar
otherwise, you have just a front (which is Exacty the same as the FWD turbo 2g)
if you want the rear, you can just snatch-up the parts From a 94 GS, or Try your luck in CAPS.
every time I went into CAPS to loo up the parts, I got "no data" for the Rear #'s =0[
unless Someone has a GS VIN?
I have an upper strut tower bar, that helped a lot when cornering. But the back had some understear.
Then I got the rear lower tie bar and that helped out a lot with the understear problem.
My car now has awesome handeling.
I spent less then $75 for both bars. Definitely one of the most bangs for your $.
do these fit? i forget...i think the FSTB will fit but i was wondering about the rear. anybody know?

Almost certain it will Seth.
BEAST, according to OBX.. any lower tie bar for the 95-99 Eclipse and 90-97 Accord will also fit the 7g. Look for those as you can find them waaaay cheaper.
aight, well then i got a real question
http://www.obxracingsports.com/performance...D=3&subcatID=17
whats the difference between that ^
and this:
http://www.obxracingsports.com/performance...=17&subCat2ID=2
whats with the price difference? and the way they look is diff. too.
If you want the model with "speed holes" it will run ya $20 extra...
The $79 one will get the job done just as well.
Actually a 1.5" pipe flattened on both ends will work also https://www.thegalantcenter.org/styl...ault/smile.gif
id drill my own holes for $20 :lauging:
Ok so where exactly do these things go? Under the car or behind the back seat. I think I remember seeing a galant with a bar behind his back seat. Like if you fold down your seat, the two clips the back of the seat hooks onto. Or does this actually go on the outside under the car?
These go on the underside, literally between your rear suspension. The one you're thinking of is a RSTB that connects the rear strut towers, works just like the front one evryone has.
I might just have to invest in one once I get some more dough.
damn, i was somewhat convinced to get one, but now i have to get one, all this good feedback on these damn things. i found a 95-99 eclipse rear lower strut bar on ebay for 45, and s/h is at 12. so it's a lot better than the obx website. just lettin everyone know
so is there any out right now that fit the rear upper back part of the galant? and what other things can be purchased to improve handling besides strut bars?
Any 2g strut bar will work. Upper or lower. Suspension bushing kit for the 2g would greatly increase the handling. Just a pain to install.
