Well it seem that owning one of those coveted Shelby Mustang GT500KR will literally cost you an arm & leg to fix if you get into a fender bender.
$20,000 for a CF hood...no that is not a typo.
$3,392 for a from bumper

so can i go to the dealer and get the car for $57,570 without the hood, pins, and front bumper lip? makes you wonder how they fit every other component of the car into the small budget of 57,500 when the hood alone cost close to 20k...

That is nuts, but I can understand where Shelby is coming from to basically "protect" the vehicle icon. I saw one of these at Devils Tower in Wyoming on my vacation recently...they are impressive cars.

don't parts always cost way more than buying the car? what i mean is even on our cars, if you were to construct the entire car from new parts it would be some outrageous total wouldn't it? this is nothing new. the industry makes lots of profit on parts... since the beginning of time.
