Yah you 8gers definitely got ripped off on the stock i4 manifold! Sounds like you have a huge vacuum leak coming from somewhere.
-
so watcha think of this?? how you rate it, krispy?
-
Very NOIce! Im looking into the outlander manifold for my Phase 1 turbo SOHC set-up myself. How much difference do you feel after you swapped it?

well im not stating that my galant compares to a lancer evolution, just that my galant evolved from stock, it noticably stands out from stock galants. especially when i put the lip kit on, which s next! hopefully in time for mod

well i havent really taken it on its mayden voyage yet just backing off the ramp and into the driveway. also the walbro 190 will play a factor due to the fact that its been since last year when i was going to juice it up but never did.
-
i dont think thats a vacuum leak, my 8G sounds like that on startup cuz of the intake... sounds like that's what im hearing on that too
-
Very nice job man :D
You guys do some interesting stuff over there in the states...
As for the higher revs, possibly the TPS ?
-
looks like ur throttle plate adjustment is at max, try loosing it up,
(the part where u tighten up the throttle cable)
-
did you change the throttle cable? the galant one is too long thats the prob i had on mine. if you didnt't did you adjust a way to take out the slack on the throttle cable? if you did double check that to see if that might be it.

i used the galants cable, there was slack so i had to jimmy rig it inside of the galant to take up some slack, if you older members remember my fan on the intake, youll love this 8)

Looks good let us know what the gains are...
After you get that running give it a wash, and detail. Especially the valve cover it looks like hot sauce puring out, lol.
Keep up the good work.
-
nice, how are the gains, i cant see you breaking this one so easily
-
-
Nice! Dude...you really need to clear up your garage man. There is no reason you should of been working on your car while getting BBQ'ed.
-
well it turns out that bobbeling was a loose sensor but im going to need an outlander throttle position sensor, im ridding on the galant's. trust me when the tutorial says youll need the outlanders TPS. so the galant should be fully operational by mid nextweek.
