ok i have a question guys whats underneath our backseats? is it empty space or wha? cuz wheres a good spot to put the stuff 4 the suspensions. im still learning about airstruts. i know to use 2geclipses if i cant xactly get suspensions 4 the galant. can some1 explain like wha each tings do like the compressors puts more air in the tank n the tank suplies air to my airstruts to raise n lower it. i know that much xplain the other stuff brakets, manifold, how i control it n stuff?
no room under back seats. nothing really there, cept access to ur fuel pump and tank...trunk is always the preferred location, the wheel well would be cool if you dont care for a spare tire...
i have a question, do cars with air struts have a bouncy ride? is the quality of the ride equal to that of an OEM feel?
the quality of the ride gets better if its lower because of the air pressure in the strut but the higher it is the stiffer it gets or at least i tink so sum1 correct me.
i know the trunk is a good spot but then i want to custom enclosure it so i doubt im gonna have space
Actually the ride comfort gets better as you raise the air struts. That's why people ride at full height and only drop it hard when they're parked. Think of it as riding on air, the more you have... the better. Of course too much of anything is bad however :wink:
What exactly do you want to know more about on the air suspension setup? Anything specific?
1. Will i be able to do daily driving, for example: bumpy roads, occasional times on dirt roads.
2. how do i level out the ride height to driving height, say a drop of 1.5 inches from stock height

Honestly I am not to certain, my understanding comes mostly from air bags which are strictly up or down (not much in between).
That would be more of a Q for an air strut specialist.
You can run your car at all heights between the max and min. I use dual gauges so I know where my car is at.
Example, <30# is laid out front and rear.
30-60 is good ride height.
>60-90# is way up. A little stiff, good for cornering.
>90, all the way up, rides like crap!
I drive my car everyday and drive over 100 miles on the weekends to car shows in Cali.
