motor question
i found this motor in the self junkard auto part here is the picture it came of a 96 galant automatic and there it is and over there all the motors are 200 dollar and low milieage [IMG]http://i761.photobucket.com/albums/x...6/SSPX0150.jpg[/IMG is that a gs motor
-
Yes. Any stock DOHC 7G will be a GS.
-
so is it good to get it for 200
-
ya thats a good deal but its in a junkyard for a reason. i wouldnt plan on pulling the whole motor and just droping it in your g and expect it to work.
-
yeah i know but i can just check there
-
Thats a really good deal!!! You should get it, rebuild it and boost it at the same time....
-
ill take the shifter linkage out of that car, the shifter bezle, the coil transistor plug, and the valve cover..... THNX
-
this is not a 96 galant. that means even if you get wiring harness and ecu it may work for you but it will fail emissions cuz its obd1
-
emissions are for pussies...... (i have not done emissions since 2004)
-
well they is this one and there is a gst motor for 200 with the small turbo
-
thats def a 94 gs and its a 5 spd u can see the slave in the top right of the pic. id pick up that motor to build and for 200 its a good deal as just my 2g cylinder head was 150.
pick it up, rebuild it or fully build it, then boost it. do the 2g ecu swap and then your set. dont change harnesses as your OBDII
-
if thats a gs, if it were me, ide grab the motor, harness, ecu, trans, sway bar, disks, and anything else you can get your hands on. its easyer and quicker to swap the motor and get it running untill you get the harness figured out. but thats just me.

dont worry i get that the only one in houston
