I just purchased JDM black housing to replace my stock but I would like to clean it before installing. Where is the best product to clean? and if there is a suggested treatment to avoid fade and haze after.
Javeh.

Mothers have a Plastic polish for the plastic lens and for the glass there is another product, not sure of the name though. For the plastic ones that are already hazy I like to use the Mothers Chrome Rim polish on em. Difference is like night and day.
Thanks.. I will get in autozone, pep boys or advanced auto parts.Quote:

Wet sanding is really nothing to fear. I just did it on my headlights and it made a HUGE difference. The idea is that once you get down to 2k grit wet sand paper (which just feels like...I dunno, cheap toilet paper. Not like sand paper at all) the scratches you're leaving are so minute that a little rubbing compound eradicates them completely leaving a glass-smooth surface. And buffing the lens with a high-speed buffer puts an amazing shine to the lens, just like new.Quote:
