make sure these are for 97-o4 diamante
As I understood it, '97-'04 Diamante brakes fit 8G's, not sure if they fit his '97 G. Those calipers look to be 1G Diamante calipers for a '94 Diamante, I don't know if 1G D's fit 7G's.
1g Ds calipers do fit 7gs.
IDK where he's from. If the was an Euro /JDM spec car the 97 is an 8g there and the knuckles may have the wider spacing for the caliper brackets like the USDM 8gs do
Ah, you're right, I forgot about the difference in US/Worldspec years. So I guess we need to know what gen the car is before anyone can give a good answer.
just looked it up. he has an usdm 7g.
There it is, you should be ok then OP.
thanks :D sorry for the lack of info, clearly I need to fill out my bio :x
I have a set of diamante calipers from when I had my 7g if you want to save a little money you can buy mine. Let me know.
Any noticeable stopping power putting the Diamante caliper on the 8G I4?
I ask because with my heavy-ass wheels at times it seems like my brakes are not working because of the added weight and diameter. Hell if I slam the brakes doing 45 they don't lock up just keep turning, it's my ABS for non-ABS car, LOL.
Thanks man, sure helps next time I'm at a salvage yard.
Not on the G in the sig, I forget to mention I'm rolling 225/35/20's on the other G. I adjusted Drum's last time I did brakes which was when I got it in March of this year.
Here's both, Silver one stops on a dime.

what year range is the 2g diamante
for a further upgrade:
if the 2g diamante/3g magna(1996-2005) fit your 8g galant, then in theory your 9g galant brakes should fit up as well, except you will need caliper, disc the whole thing.
thats what the magna/diamante guys do here... fit 380 brake setups front only.
might already be common knowledge but incase you dont know.
thanks for years of 2g, there was bunch if diamantes at the pick n pull but not many v6galants. so now have something else to look for
No prob dude!
