any pics to see how its fitting?
I'm pretty sure you need longer bolts
P.S. if you give up send me the elbow
yeah u need longer studs
im not sure if u can replace the ones on the intake, but i think you can
The studs do thread out of the intake. You can also use a 2g throttle body elbow. They're bigger diameter than the 1g unit you have (they don't neck down like that) so they flow better. I've got one. If you're interested shoot me a PM with an offer. I think I've got the longer studs around too. You can just use four bolts if you want to but you're more likely to strip the threads of the manifold.
the 90 tb has only one nipple, the 7g one has 3. Unless you gonna use Link and disable the emissions codes. The 94 turbo are the ones to use
I got a 1991 TSi TB it has 4 nipples and I am interested in those studs
Any 91-94 turbo throttle body is fine. The 90 was the same size but had the FIAV as 1 unit which caused problems as you have to replace the while throttle body if there is an issue, also the longer studs are needed as said and part number is MD161757 should use new nuts as well. Go to the dealer, it won't cost more than 10 bucks
I'm intrigued ..the TB on my 7G has four long bolts that connect the TB to the intake manifold
Ditch that and get a N/A throttle body from a 91 or later 1g. As stated before, 90 parts arent all that great.
