ABS, False security in rain.
Ahahaha. Since this is Sunny SoCal., how often do you get to drive in the rain. Well let me tell you that while it's fun burning out in all gears and even an occassional drifting on curves, I learned something about my ABS brakes today.
If you mash on the brakes in the rain, it DOES lock up and unlock making your braking distance just suck. The shortest braking distance that can be achieved is brake right up to the point just before locking up or engaging the ABS. I did this a number of times today to make sure on different grades of asphalt. Sure ABS allows you to control your car a little better if you need to turn while braking but is definitely not the best braking distance in the rain in a straight or curved line.
