I'm looking to get a cold air intake for my I4 8g. But which is better? Injen intakes, or Weapon-R! I know that Weapon-R is cheaper. But is it better than a Injen intake. Does anybody have any insight on this, or is there a better brand? THANKS!

it's a pipe with a filter on the end. we're not building space shuttles here....
hey, i was the guy who posted that.... i already forgot.
But ya, go with AEM. I heard Injen has wont fit as well as AEM.
or just go by a MAF adaptor, and by the NEW AEM DRY FILTER. Dont use Cotton Gauze.... they suck, worst filtration you can get. If you want your engin live longer go with AEM DRY, or TRUE FLOW AIR FILTER.
I got injen short ram on my whip
I was going to get a injen but i didn't i got a Weapon-R. It isn't as bad as everyone says it is, they don't have one they have no idea how it is. Everyone says its bad cus other says its bad, but i bet no besides myself has a weapon- r on their galant, so they don't know shit!!! It is relly loud if you got a V6 like i do. Other wise it is ok.
you hit the nail right on the head. i went for INJEN RD Series i think it is. i can convert from CAI to SRI. couple pics plus an old one with just intake.Quote:

i got the k&n typhoon, but its a short ram it is made more for the eclipse but it works great good sound and k&n is quality i love it sounds and works great
I have owned a Weapon R and owned an Injen and I can safely say that Weapon-R is a POS.... I have also sold plenty of Injen intakes and not one bad thing was ever said about them. My customers where happy with that they received....Quote:

2002GMS its the CMF header, i got it wen they first came out for 299 in the group buy. http://www.cmfabrications.com/
i probably have the oldest aftermarket intake for an 8g on TGC that is still in day to day use. and its an injen.

Agreed...just make sure it has some support or your intake will be flying off like pieces on the space shuttle.Quote:
