Interchanging parts...?

So i've been reading up on the forums and am a little confused...I read that parts from a 3g eclipse will fit my 03 Galant? What years are a 3g Eclipse? And if I want I/H/E for the G I could just get them for the Eclipse and they will bolt right on to my G?

i think the 3G eclipse is 2000-2004. as far as i know, the only difference in the exhaust is that the eclipse's will be a couple inches short.

1g eclipse = 90-94
2g eclipse = 95-99
3g eclipse = 00-05
4g eclipse = 06 and up
