Car tries to stall when braking

I have a 2001 Galant ES with the V6. Few weeks ago the car started to stall when we would stop or slow down. Was showing misfire on cyl 2. Had just had my 60000 tune up a month or so before it started.

Took it to my mitsubishi dealer and they put another new set of plugs, new plug wires, new cap & rotor checked my injectors and nothing seemed to work. Finally they did something to the EGR and got it running. Now a few weeks later it started doing the same thing again, but showing misfire on cyl 1. They said they can not afford to put any more money into my car because of how much they had to eat last time since their first attempts didn't work.

Any suggestions what this might be??? I was thinking that maybe the EGR might be bad. It was making a strange ticking noise before they fixed it, but not sure because they won't change it. Called another dealer and they said it might be the ECU.

Any ideas would be appreciated.
