your new/used engine should bring them
I'm not sure i understand your answer. I have to purchase new upper and lower timing covers; I need to find out where i can find them online or at a auto supply store.
What I mean is if your timing belt broke and damaged the covers, your gonna need more then just covers because when your timing belt breaks chances are you smashed your valves into your pistons...
:090:I've noticed from reading other posts that this is not a new or unusual problem for timing belts being thrown. I'm really hoping not to have any damage to valves which I've noticed can happen.
Actually, It didn't break, but just came off and broke cover when pullling into driveway. The belt is actually intact even though I'd never use it again.
:100:Anyone know where these can be purchased?:100:
Mitsubishi dealer!
I bet money that you still bent your valves and at least need a head rebuild.
Happened to my 4g63t talon while it was idling in the driveway.
I would say about 1 in 10,000 get lucky enough to escape without any damage.
Thanks for replying
It seems to me that the parts you are looking for are not that easy to come by.
Is it a I4 or V6? (4 cylinder or 6?)
Like others said, it's pretty much the Mitsubishi dealer or the junkyard if you are lucky, as far as I know.
The problem was fixed with NO cylinder head damage(Thank God) !!!:080: Thanks to all that helped, advised, and/or replied. :038:You guys rock!
