Galant turbo project HELP!

Hey guys I need some help I am going to turbo my 2.4l auto galant and I need some help or opinions. I also want to leave it an automatic. also want to run it on 93 and e85. this is what I will be running an evo 8 16g and what I am trying to figure out is what to do about fuel management. I was going to run an HKS additional injector controller with 2 850cc injectors. leave stock fuel system alone so I could get stock fuel millage while not in boost. also not have to mess with timing maps. I have been reading on the forums and don't know if this is the best way to do it. any suggestion would really help me out.

Uhhh e85? Why? 85% ethonal 15% gas e85 is pointless it will drop your gas milage drop like 40% only thing it's for is emmisions

where would you put these 2 injectors? Not a good idea IMO there are air pulses designed with the enine and manifold adding 2 injectors to the mix would throw off everything and your ecu wouldn't read the extra unmonitored fuel then running the engine rich and your ecu reads all this this idea would be more of a pain in the ass then it's worth

staying automatic is a bad idea, the auto transmission cant hold up to alot of hp, As far as e85, i have never heard anyone mention this for a galant, i know alot of turbo buick guys do this. why not sure, maybe cause e85 is cheaper

The HKS injector controller isnt needed.

If you read up on how to wire up dual ecus in your car (Galant and Evo ecu), Evo ecu gives you the option to run dual maps. From the sound of your questions, you may be a little over your head right now.

Leaving your stock ecu to control the off boost fuel and timing wont work because even tho youre not in boost, the turbo is still slightly spooling and changing the amount of stock air your motor was supposed to be getting.

My reccomendation is to run dual ECUs. the galant Ecu to control the stock transmission and the Evo ecu to control the fuel and timing. There are Evo ecu mods called Tephra mods that can be flashed onto the Evo ecu. One of the mods is the ability to run dual maps using a switch. So normally, you will be running off the high octane map. When you fill up on e85, you switch to Alt maps and now you are on a map thats tuned for e85. THe fuel and timing maps for E85 is signifigantly different

btw, E85 is less fuel efficient.

There are also more expensive options if you dont want to run dual ECU. you can also wire up a piggyback or standalone ECU to your car.

I only know about the HKS f-con since I used to run one. The HKS has the option to run different maps by flipping the dip switches on front of the unit. The thing with the HKS ecu is that you cannot tune it yourself. You'll always have to bring it to a HKS-certified pro tuner to install and tune it.

E85 is less fuel efficient, but its basically like race gas. ;)
