Damn that was epic. In America, you can't drive that fast because
1.) the "fast lane" is usually hogged up by slowpokes, no one reserves the left lane as a "passing only" or "fast" lane, it's just as much a cruising lane as any of the rest of them;
2.) Said slowpokes rarely move to the right when a faster car is approaching from behind, cars take up all lanes no matter what, it could be four in the morning with a few cars every other mile or so, and you'll still get to a point where it's cars across all the lanes at the same spot doing the same speed the same time, so you can't pass until one of them slows down or speeds up; and
3.) None of the roads I frequently travel are that straight and smooth, I have big dips I hit everyday that at anything faster than 80 mph upset the handling so much you'd definitely lose control at those speeds. And these are recently worked roads too.
