Reluctor installed. New v6 iac installed. God bless ebay, brand new iac for $35 shipped. Car idles better.
Still have two o2 sensor codes with the evo ecu. So I ordered two replacement o2 sensors. Waiting for those. Hopefully that resolves my codes. Once that's all resolved I'll reassemble the interior and order my new IC hopefully so I can use a crash bar and be able to drive it without worrying about not having a crash bar.

Not much has been done to the car. So busy with school and weather isn't helping.
Was fighting the codes I have after the ecu swap. I talked to a tuner who had me send him a log and he said the o2 sensors were good and the rom was causing my codes.
I'm getting a tune shortly then I should be able to put the dashboard back together and drive it around to break the clutch in.
I bought this for my tune. Just need a filter for this giant 4" opening!!

Then gonna do some cosmetic stuff to get it to where I want it to be.
Ordered few things for it that is on the way. I have a week off from school next week. Hoping to get stuff done on both cars. We'll see how that goes.

got tephra V7 flashed tonight. o2 codes are still pending. the tuner said that the o2 sensors are functioning properly. he is gonna take a look and see if he can spot something in the ROM. and if not im either gonna go trace wires again while the car is running to see if the heater circuits are good or he is gonna turn them off for me.
otherwise the car's afr at idle is 14.5
tomorrow im installing the evo maf and and evo map sensors and gonna log it again and send him the logs to fine tune it.
should be hopefully driving it soon.
Hopefully you can drive it soon...assuming us east coast people will get a break from snow lol
Been tuning the car for the last 3 days. Almost all done and ready to drive it. Still fine tuning the rom at idle.

Took it out for a drive. Car is running too rich on half throttle. Logged the car for a while and sent the logs to my tuner. If I don't hit boost I'm fine. That turbo spools fast and LOUD!!! I can't wait until I get it all tuned and break the clutch in so I can get it on the dyno.

Awesome, I bet it felt good
I wish I can say it did. Still need some more fine tuning. And need to do a boost leak test. It was hard driving it without hitting boost and once I hit boost it bogged down and I had to feather the gas pedal. My tuner is good I'll most likely have another tune tomorrow morning. But tomorrow we r getting rain and snow and I'm not driving it in this weather. It will have to wait.

Advice #1. Start with a Stock evo ROM. tephra V7 is heavily modified. There is no Tephra mod that has not been adjusted beyond Stock values. This ROM is for evos that want more from their heavy mods and need more ECUFlash and tuning experience to understand what the mods and maps does. keep it simple.
Stock Evo rom is all you need for breaking. Ones you have it tune. you could switch back to the tehphra if you want extra mod. All you need is transfer over the fuel and timing maps. idle if was adjusted.
well where do i start ?
i went to do a boost leak test and couldnt build pressure in the lines. looked around and saw that the compressor housing came loose because the snap ring never seated properly which was my fault. took the turbo off to inspect it and saw this

ordered a new wheel and new rebuild kit to rebuild the turbo since its apart and coated the compressor housing.

noticed that the wheels werent spinning freely like they should. at closer inspection and with the help from Chris (Galanttuner10) i found out that there was some gouging at the housing where the piston ring seals the the housing and was causing it to bind.
after some research i found a brand new center housing and i bought and just received it two days ago. in the mean time i ceramic coated my downpipe, manifold and hotside

and here is the new housing

sweet jeebus, look at that spatter on the o2/wideband bung. couldnt have cleaned that up before you cerakoted it?
lol i thought the same thing. FOR THE LOVE THAT IS PURE AND HOLY!
MAKE SURE THE SNAP RINGS SNAPS LIKE A LITTLE BIOTCH INTO PLACE THIS TIME
EDIT: YAY! WE CAN RIGHT IN CAPS LOCK. TIME TO TROLL...
The compressor housing was painted in some stupid thick paint. This time I got it. Definitely seated it right when I tested it with the bad housing.

Rough ride so far man. Hope when everything's back together, it's smooth as silk!
Not even upset that I just spent all this money to fix it. I just wanna drive it already so we can finish tuning in lol I'm so swamped with school work and midterms it's gonna have to wait a bit.

is the turbine housing split in two or is it a single?
