I'd still steal yours though lolQuote:

came out pretty good D...when you painting it? what color
yep when i first installed them i adjusted the spring rate to be a little stiffer, and i set the dampening at like 24 rear and 20 front went for a drive...going over paint lines felt like speed bumps lol, got back and set the rear at 18 and front at 13...still need to adjust it a bit to get perfect but teh ride is good overall and handles greatQuote:

also i havent set my preload at all, i know it should be down when corner balancing but i wanna just at least have all of them to be even
one problem im having is that the ride height on the front is very even on both sides but when u take the wheels off and put ur finger under the strut and feel how far down the black threaded piece is inside the grey one u will notice that the one is almost all the way down while other still has more to go
i hope this made any since at all
that means one of ur top perches is lower than the other, so the black part is threaded differently to get the same height
oh crap!! Where have you been?Quote:

Yes careful consideration must be made when adjusting the damper settings fore and aft. Improper settings can result in horribly bad oversteer or understeer when turning, or axle positioning during travel over bumpy or uneven surfaces. Or worse poor brake performance.Quote:

the experience people are having w/ the TEIN's SS (P) have to do w/ the setup. the shortcoming of the TEIN SS(P) is the ride height and preload are on a single threaded collar... the TEIN FLEX (not available for our platform) is the next step up in TEIN's line and has the same ride height adjustment as the MEGAN and JIC FLT-2, seperate threading for preload collar and lower shock mount for ride height... of course all 3 have different spring rates and valving but structurally speaking they are similar. well back to the SS(P)'s, the ride height affects the ride quality since the preload is highest when the ride height is highest and lowest when the car is set about 2/3 of the way down to all the way down. so basically to get less preload, you have to lower the car. i felt this first hand when i had the car lowered b4 i got my body kit, then raised for a while after, then lowered even more than before recently (i'm currently slammed around >3". if you are not willing to have a very lowered car (>2.5"), i would not recomend the SS-P's since the spring rate is very stiff on a moderately lowered ride height but near perfect (stiff but not jarring or bouncy) on a very lowered car... you can actualy lower the damping stiffness after you lower the ride height over 2/3 (short body shocks still allow full travel) and keep a relatively smooth ride w/ no bouncing.
holy crap he's back!Quote:

Yeah, Ed rides low and solo most of the time. I don't think he's ever had more than one other person in his car besides himself in there.
Yeah back to dutchessQuote:
