kool so that means i should get mine by the 18 but i think sooner since im only 3 1/2 hours from them
from ddm?
yep
lol, still looking @ 4-6 days shipping
(pay, process, pick up, distribute, drive out haha)
haahaha.... i just made my self sad
hahahaha
Alrighty then... I read the description on this website about the difference between DDM kit and the Apexcone kits. But which is a better deal to get?? Apexcone is cheaper I see and Has a nifty cutoff bulb if its goes under 9v and over 12v, I think. Is the ballast as small as the DDM ones, the one for Apexcone? Also when I buy the DDM kit I am going 35w-6000k, should I get a harness anyway, even though its used for the 55w one? Let me know what you all think, Thanks.
People that do have these on please pm me for more info on these please. Thanks
yea get a harness anyway (cheap wiring on the galants)
doesnt mater between the two, one is smaller than the other thats it.
Thanks, I had already order the Apexcone ones. I spoke to the guys there and I will pick them up once they get some in. I chose local pick up because they have their office in the same city where I am at. He told me I didn't need the harness and it should work with out it. He says you only use it if your going to get the 55w ones. It cost me 83.26 Total cost. :) not bad of a price.
u know whats funny our regular bulbs run at a 55 watts on low and 60 on high
lol, yea. my bulb socket has already melted
From a vendor who sells these kits from the subaru forums:
"There MIGHT be an increase in price soon...just letting you know. Not confirmed yet.
Oliver"
when you first fire the HID's they draw more than the 35w that they state and thats what kills your harness.
Who else agrees with Dwjp90, about getting the harness from DDM and for those who has them already and know its a good thing to have?
how are you guys melting harness? I have never ever had issues with melting harness and ive had HIDS in general since 01
mine melted from a 35 W kitt. (just the left tho)
idk how, they just did. iced, its a thing with our cars. ive seen posts about stock bulbs meltin them ectect.
Hids run at about 42watts. 35W to the bulb, and 7 lost as heat in the ballast. BUT during cold startup hids can draw nearly triple if not more the amount of energy.
yup
YOU GUYS! I hate to be a bubble buster but if you have hids and no projector to provide cut off on the lights line it causes excessive glare and you could be facing a lot of fix it tickets or best case scenario a grip of peolpe just flash you becuase they think you have your brights on and you get into a street fight over road rage hahaha. The light will be increased no doubt, but you still need the projector to provide cut off. OEM Halogen headlight housing were not made to recieve the new HID technology they must be retro fitted.
