I also visited the yard and found a 3.5L with 107k miles, super clean under the oil cap, brown/golden oil on the dipstick, and most importantly the engine says it runs.
Probably getting that this weekend. I'm excited.

Took my gts engine apart, just to see the damage, I'm suprised the car ran at all when I had put it back in time on the highway.

^^ your Timing belt went out on the highway?
yea, when I was leaving the TGC meet in Queens ny. I had to tow it with the gsx and leave it at Qnz's house overnight. I'll never forget how scared I was for everyone's safety while taking the timing belt off and re-adjusting it between the highway and an exit.Quote:

Wow those heads were silver clean, the wife's Diamante heads were clean too, but they had a golden yellow color to the casting where yours is silver/gray, damn shame about that motor. Congrats on the apparent COTM win too!
