they are USDM fitment
skylineg1 has this set up.. check it..
guys, i have some problems. today i tried to connect the angel eyes to the side indicators. there three wires: black, green and green with pink. as i understood the black is the ground and the other two is the turning light and side light. i connected to side light (at least i think i did) and the angel eyes were not on completely, only one eye was on, and i think only one LED was working, cause i saw a little light from the lower part of the angel yey. please help me with this problem.
thanks
they are probably on.. they are just that damn dim.. they aren't LEDs they are regular 194 wedge bulbs that are super dim
Hey serstylz how the LED during daytime? any images?
i'll take some tom, they are really bright at night so i'm thinking you can probably see them in nondirect sunlight
Well I picked up a set of these lights earlier this week and they were delivered and installed yesterday after work. These are sitting on a 99 ES and my fitment doesn't seem very bad at all.
As for the top mounting tab it is a tight fit, and really needs a new hole drilled for it to line up correctly. The gap others have commented on...I found it to be the same with the new heads as it was with the originals. The only thing that makes it stand out more is the color of the new lens and black housing, even measuring the gap they were both at about 1/4" inch between stock and new ones on both sides, check out the pics even;

It is possible that the weatherstrip piece on the bottom of the corner section is also pushing up on the lens. I may try to remove this section to possibly get a better fit, or I might try and find some rubber stripping like what is on the corner of the lens already and run along the entire bottom of the housing for a cleaner look...but I am honestly pretty happy wth the fitment when I realized the stock ones fit the exact same way.

I looked at the LEDs and they are integrated within the housing and the only way to really swap those out for an amber LED would be to seperate the lens. I may do this at some point, or run the original LEDs with the headlights on, or just leave them unhooked for the time being. Overall these lights definitely compliment the overall look I am going for with the cosmetic side of the build. More pics are posted up in my build thread also.
Looks good. BIG differance.
Do these headlights come with any kind of wiring instructions or diagram? Not so much for the projector/high-beam portion, but for the LED's and angel eyes. If so, can someone post it?
I'm taking my car to the body shop and I figured while it's there I might as well have them put on the headlights along with my H1 Hids.
No there are no instructions, I've never dealt with any major wiring, but i was able to do this... it was pretty much common sense, as to the power and grownd points of the LED and halos, just color match the existing harness and tap into them.
The LED and HALOS are entirely up to you and are no required for proper installation and use. There have been known occurrences in which the shop understandably refuses to install the H1 bulb because "it doesn't fit" in which case you would have to do it yourself.
I would really suggest you attempt this yourself as it is very easy, and chances are the shop will not finish the job as they see them selves liable for your bulbs if one was to break. When you attempt the bulbs it will be a tight fit, but they do fit and work properly.
have fun and get back to us if you have any questions.
Installed my headlights on Saturday with HID's in both the hi-and low beam. It looks good, I have to post some pictures. My only complaint is that the projectors don't project the light better. I guess it's due to the fact that they are not HID projectors. I didn't wire up the leds and halo's because I really want to replace the leds and halo's with better ones. Has anyone replaced those yet?
yes, I belive stylez did earlier on this post....
and try adjusting the cutoff on your beams, theres another thread bout how to adjust.
from the pics BGR posted about the light emitting from the projectors... it looks to me that the area of light it shines on the road has gotten narrower vs stock. No?

Its a vendor here selling these headlights, the light output in the other forum are much better.
definitely are better then the halogen projectors, thanks for the info showtime.
Has anyone installed these with the JDM Setup? I tried to search but, it brought up like a million hits for JDM.
If I remember right the usdm lights are longer then the jdm ones
any positive/negative updates? mine have held up well, no cracks on the lens, halos are good.. no leaks.
mine are still in mint condition too
Mine are mint too, just gotta clean the lense but other than that i love them
mine are also ok, just to side LEDs went off.
Can anyone recommend me a good H1 Kit from ebay or something? Also what about some lightbulbs / LED Lights?
4300 K / 6000 K / 8000 K what's the difference?
Just ordered my set with same LEDs that Rich used. Can we change the 3 LEDs to like amber or are those stuck at what they come with?
if everyone wants to change the 3 city lights to amber you really dont have to i have these same lights w/ the original color n i dnt have any problems w/ cops @ all
^^ what color do you have? So after reading all of this info im thinking about getting these lights as i have had to aim my headlights downward alot to stop blinding people with the HIDs.
^^ Mine are blue n they blink like switchbacks wit my turn signals
Has any one noticed any jdm fitment ones on ebay or anywhere else, id love to pick up a set, i actually had a go at an ebay seller when i asked him if he had JDM fitment as he had them described as JDM lights, he told me there was no difference and they would fit, lucklily TGC was here and i knew they most certainly would not.

4300 or 6000 but I would never go over 6000
wow 30 dollars for the whole kit, thats good, any one got a review of the apexcone set?
Edit: LOL Shipping to ireland is 100 dollars, think ill pass
with HID lighting, the color temperature is rated in KELVIN (K). 4250K is what the great majority of OE HID uses, 3000K is yellow and 6000K is light blue. the further from white you go in K, the lower the light output (luminousity); 4250K is the brightest being nearest mid day sunlight. anything above 6000K is going to be very colored light and the performance will not be much better than halogen even if it is still brighter.
here, this might help better:

I was considering getting H1 kit in 4500 would you guys recommend getting Fogs and are the Highs in the ebay projectors good or should I get a kit for them?
Ordered the lows in 4500K 35w should have heads with LEDs and HIDs on soon.
Has anyone wired these to have the highs and lows on at the same time and if so how did you do it? I am considering just having my wiring my highs to come on when I have my lows on and just highs when I flick the switch.
Is there a clear cut off line where the corners light? Cause I am considering painting the corner like I did on the stock heads.
Get LED turn signals and they will blink same speed or close to same speed. I ordered Amber 39 LED turn signals to match my 5led amber 194s that are going in halos. I am waiting for the 3 things to come in to install and wire everything. I am gonna wire my halos to the driving lights(low filament on turn signal) and possibly wiring so that when I have highs on both lows and highs are on and when I have lows on only lows are on. May make independent fogs, but I am still unsure if it is worth the work.
Isn't the Apexicone Kit Magnetic rather than digital ?
Has anyone bought the Depo usdm or jdm projectors they make?
