yeah mitsu rear bumpers were sprayed at a different plant than the rest of the cars
cant say that is normal...
I was going to get it repainted but I didn't know if the bumper was a different color since its a different material then the quarter panel.
Its actually common simply because its a different material than the body. Its especially prevalent on silver cars for some reason, not just Galants either. The entire body (bumper and all) is sprayed at the Mitsubishi Factory in Normal, IL.

Replaced the trunk garnish with a pretty black one (thanks Jeffylou) next on my to do list is to tape off the brake light on my spoiler and hit it with some nightshades and some clear like my tails.
