i think its too much...loose the halos or the leds
mine r blue halos w blue led's. and u can always not connect one of them if u didnt want them lit
I was thinking about that, but too much white or too much blue looks boring. You have to spice it up a lil bit. Have to contrast one another. If you where in person you will like it specially at night. Any ways here in NYC PO PO'S (Cops) give you a hard time with color LED. I want it to keep it simple like the Audi. I had blue turn signal light and a cop pull me over because of that. The grater the color the more chance to get pull over. About the halos want it to change it up a bit. White and orance BMW has them so is not something new, "over rate" I like it blue gives it a agressive look and is different.
but your car is neither BMW nor Audi.
less is more.. not trying to be an ahole when people look at that they think ricer man....can't base a look to a car off of some ebay headlights/led's and think thats spicing it up...as far as colors for halos you can run any basing off of my setup it cancells the halos because of the brightness..idk how the ebay ones are..
The halos on the Ebay projectors are ass. There are 4 lights per halo (top, bottom, sides) and they aren't very bright at all. If the halos were CCFL, they would have been much better. Overall, I'm happy with the lights though, especially with HID.
I kinda wanna get these for the he'll of it cuz my old heads are trash. Split em apart maybe throw a reflector in the turn signal and pop out the led's and see what I can do about the halos
x2 on the shitty halos. you can still see mine with my HIDs on, but they are horrible when cruising around during the day. Then I look at bmw halos and they are extremely noticeable. An issue with these halos is that they are not completely sealed off from the high low beam area. If the lights halo bulbs were reflected and more focused it would be amazing.
Rich do you have HID highs?
Not sure where exactly you want to put a reflector, but the "new" projectors on Ebay comes with a orange reflector now. The old one (like mine) didn't have reflectors.
No. I don't have any bulbs in the high beam section, only lows.Quote:

When I want to use the headlights, I would flick it on to high beam and of course, the low beam headlights would turn on (because I switched the wires).
^I was curious of that myself. Im considering going with JM auto, but since the ebay ones are cheaper im wonderin the difference?

Never heard of JM Auto.
Ok, just seen that they're a vendor here.
The difference is that the JM Auto projectors (same headlight housing), uses real HID projectors, instead of the halogen projectors that is in the Ebay headlights. If you've seen the beam patterns on the Ebay headlights, they have an ugly V-shape pattern. The JM Auto headlights/projectors have a straight horizontal beam pattern. Plus, they come with HID bulbs, ballasts, etc.
This is how the Ebay projector beam patter looks like (8000k HID):

Actually, the beam pattern is better this way, IMO. On the left side, you don't want the beam projecting into the on-coming traffic, but on the right side, it sits up higher -- projecting further down the road. With other projectors, it's just a straight line, so there is a distinct cut off. Anything above the cutoff line isn't illuminated.
You have seen JM's cutoff lines ?
Yeah. Just look at JM Auto's forum:

anyone has put these lights on with a JDM grille and JDM bumper? Would like to take a look at the gapping.
or is there an option of jdm projectors other than those sold on autodepo and the cibbies (which are impossible to find)?
i came across this old video of TGC rides. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WwbMV_rg7Io, 2:30-2:38. there were quite a few members with the same projector heads on jdm kits. any ideas? oh and could someone tell me the title of the first song used in the video? love it!
ok, im sorry i cant post in the WTB thread because of the 50 post limit, so anyone with a set of jdm projector heads for sale? Pls pm me thank you~
how's the gap problem if this is paired with USDM grill (or equivalent) and JDM old style bumper (i.e. ebay projector + usdm grill + jdm old style bumper)? is it any worse? the gap between the grill/headlights and the bumper i mean coz there shouldn't be any problem with between the grill and the headlights, right...thanks!
Hey 03-galant-ES do you have pictures of your highs on ?
yeah i think its on one of the threads let me find it

sweet thanks
i thought when you switched ur highs on, the normal beams will remain lit? Did you do rewiring or are the ebay ones meant to be like that?
The do not remain lit on USDM because we have 1 light bulb for high and low on our stock heads so it changes filaments. Fogs also turn off when highs are on. The highs have to be wired separately.
http://img695.imageshack.us/img695/7241/img849822.jpg There are both sets before I had HIDs in low.
oh im sorry, for a moment there i forgot that we could operate the high beams without our low beams on. sorry! its the same for the jdms.
guys, how do u take out the vertical LEDs? on the left headlight, all three LEDs are off. have to replace them, but I have no idea how to take them out, cause i did mot see any possibility.
I have no idea how to remove those, short of taking the whole thing apart, or cutting them out from the back (and then gluing the new ones in). That might be a better option. Cut the plastic from the back and the get some sort of rubber cork or plug that you'll place the new LED and wires through a hole in this plug and reseal it in the back of the projectors.
alright so ive had these lights in for about 2 months now and they worked great until about 2 weeks ago when the high beam on the right went out . i have the lights spliced with the 2 positives together and the 2 negatives together, really simple just so that they are on all the time. im not that great with electrical and ive been screwing with it for days now and still cant figure it out. i dont know if its a problem within the light or what but if anybodys got any clue about whats goin on id greatly appreciate it
Did anyone ever think of this.
My H.I.D. kit comes with an H4 bulb that has a halogen bulb on the assembly to ACT like it's got high beams. The wiring consists of the plugs for the HID and seperate wiring for the dummy bulb. Wouldnt it work if I just used the wiring for the dummy light for the high on these if I decided to get them and just use an H.I.D. bulb for the lows?
People have done the ebays with JDM bumpers but has anyone did the ebays with JDM grills? Can i take a look at the gap btw the grill and lights? Thank you
Can someone show me pictures of how they used the dust caps with HIDs? I think I am buying another set of HIDs and will be using the 55w 5000K in low and 35w 4300K in high. But I have been cruising without dust caps so they fog up a bit when its wet. Luckily the HID evaporates all the water.
Since my first car, any car I've had that did not come with stock projectors has gotten the exact same lights and I've never had one of them have any problems. I've also recommended and got these same lights for many many friends. If there is enough interest on here I will gladly get them for you guys. The lights are extremely crisp white and utilize the OEM housing cutoffs. I'm lucky enough to have lots of family in England and get to make them send me these haha.

They can also get me true euro/jdm style fog lights that give off the amber/yellow light if anyone is looking for those.
^^are you talking about projectors or HIDs?
